The Villa

Villa Paradiso, built in Arquata Scrivia in 1930, keeps the original name. Arquata Scrivia in those years was an a well-known summer destination of the Genoese aristocracy and the families of industrialists who built splendid villas whose testimonies still remain today. In 1930, artist Alfredo Cavadini designed, on behalf of the Gros Monti print shop, a brilliant poster in memory of the 'holiday' of those years.

Villa Paradiso has been restored according to the original design and style with a painstaking work aimed at highlighting the elegance of the building. The Villa is strategically located, an ideal meeting point for all those who appreciate nature, good wine and shopping. Within a few minutes drive, in the scenic hills of Gavi, you will be able to taste the renown white wine and visit the fascinating Roman archaeological site of Libarna, bearing witness to local history. The Serravalle Designer Outlet, the largest of its kind in Europe, is just 6 km away.

The garden

The garden of Villa Paradiso can be defined as a garden in motion, a place every single detail is respectful of the local surroundings. As a result, the project consists of different paths, parterre and delimited areas which are constantly “moving” and changing with different colours, flowers and scents. A different view for each season.

The garden surrounding Villa Paradiso and the B&B winds along a network of different paths: from the rose garden, the grove, the parterre with aromatic plants and the oleander and hydrangea area to the walk through the pine trees, eventually reaching the two big terraces overlooking the pool.
At the entrance of the Villa you can find different species of grasses: cornus, with the varieties sarcococca, perovskia and stipa tenuissima and perennial plants. At night, the area is illuminated to to let our guests to enjoy the atmosphere.
The view stretches across the palm grove, as far as the swimming pool, which is set in a typical Mediterranean environment with plants species like lavandula, bougainvillea, cactaceae, graminacee, aloe, arecaceae. The stone staircase, always surrounded by grasses, allows a second access to the swimming pool and the Villa.
